Program Description:

The York program in Information Technology belongs to a broad, multidisciplinary field that studies how technology can best be integrated and customised to meet the information needs of users, thereby facilitating creativity and productivity in a variety of sectors. It occupies a middle ground between programs offered by computer science departments, on the one hand, and business schools, on the other. Information systems and technology is interested in both existing and evolving technologies: it explores the application of technology to any field, from business to the sciences to the arts and humanities.
